Robin Hood Polo Club is set in the beautiful countryside at Highwood Farm, Misson near Bawtry Doncaster, DN10 6EP within easy access from York, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham and Harrogate. The stables, the Club House and all other surrounding buildings were formally the Sutcliffe Dairy and the mature sand grassland make for perfect polo playing conditions for at least 9 months of the year, making it the only club regularly playing on grass outside of the main grass summer season.
The indoor arena is located close to the stabling to allow for excellent on site all weather facilities when weather and light prevent us from playing on the polo lawn.
The surrounding land and tracks offer unparalleled hacking.
We are the first Club in the country to hit a ball at Sunrise on the 1st April and Sunset on the 30th September, ensuring we have the longest Summer Season of any Club in the UK.
The Club Mission is to provide a fun and progressive environment for members to improve their game and to introduce new people, both riders and non-riders alike, to the amazing sport of Polo.
Polo is not only about the playing; an important part of the fun is the social scene. The club arrange events, such as visiting the Races, attending the Annual International Match in London to watch the England team play against the best in the world.
As well as formal Polo chukkas and matches, we also love the opportunity to run Party Chukkas which normally take the form of Fancy Dress Matches with the themes decided by our members. We also have a schedule of matches local clubs to be played at home and away.
The Large Club House is unique amongst Polo Club houses and has hosted many a legendary After Party.
As a regular feature, after a hard days Polo, there is nothing better than relaxing with friends, discussing the carnage of the day and sharing a glass of fizz.
